Kyiv Mayor Leonid Chernovetskiy claims that President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha is a threat to the national security of Ukraine, and asks the President to hold a National Security and Defense Council meeting to assess Baloha`s activities.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Kyiv Mayor claimed this to a press conference on Wednesday, commenting on a statement of the Presidential Secretariat concerning his eventual dismissal.
“With all my responsibility, I turn to the President as to the head of the NSDC: irresponsible and unbridled Baloha became a threat to the national security of Ukraine – my Motherland. His activities must be immediately considered at a NSDC session and very strictly assessed”, L.Chernovetskiy stressed.
The Kyiv Mayor pointed out that, as of today, there are no conflicts and discrepancies between him and the President of Ukraine.
He emphasized that he never cast doubt upon any orders of the Head of State. “The current situation is a result of criminal misinforming of the President of Ukraine by his Chief of Staff – V.Baloha, and other intriguers”, L.Chernovetskiy said.
