Communication between government and IMF Mission failed - Yushchenko
President gave an interview to Ukrainian weekly "Korrespondent’
President Victor Yushchenko gave an interview today to Ukrainian weekly paper ‘Korrespondent’, according to the President`s press-office.
“I regret that three days ago the IMF Mission left Ukraine. The resulting communication that was supposed to happen between Ukrainian Government and the Mission failed. The cause is only one – the world refuses to recognize economic parameters painted in rosy colors”, - said Victor Yushchenko.
The President also expressed concerns about the fact that the Mission that has been working in Ukraine for three weeks was forced to leave our country just because “it could not find common language with the Government on macroeconomics, budget or anti-crisis steps”.
He expressed assurance that the Government should revise its economic strategy, state budget and its deficit and to make the document more realistic.
