Yushchenko wants to paralyze work of parliament?

MP Mykola Martynenko, leader of the pro-presidential Our Ukraine – People’s Self-Defense faction, claims that last week President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko held consultations with some members of the OU-PSD faction and isntructed them to quit the coalition.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, M.Martynenko claimed this during the morning plenary session of parliament.

According to him, the President spends the most part of his working time on intriques and struggle against other power branches.

“For instance, during the whole last week, the President was summoning members of our faction for heart-to-heart talks and persuaded them to quit the coalition”, M.Martynenko noted.

The faction leader emphasized that, at the same time, they are looking for legal traps to paralyze the work of parliament and the Cabinet of Ministers.

“Instead of these intreagues, Victor Andriyovych [Yushchenko] should better think about fulfilling his constitutional duties”, he said.
