U.S. gives Ukraine clear signal of support – ambassador
Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly says the meeting of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin with U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President Michael Pence is a clear signal of support for the Ukrainian people by Washington.
"An exceptional day for a diplomat's routine. The White House meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President Michael Pence during the visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin is a clear signal of support for the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian diaspora in America," Chaly wrote on Facebook.
As UNIAN reported earlier, President of the United States Donald Trump on Wednesday received Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin at the White House.
This meeting was preceded by talks between Minister Klimkin and U.S. Vice President Michael Pence. The interlocutors discussed in detail a situation in Donbas.
Pavlo Klimkin thanked the U.S. leader for the unwavering position of the U.S. Administration in support of Ukraine's territorial integrity and in countering Russian aggression.
