"On May 20, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will go on a one-day working visit to Germany at the invitation of Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel," the report says.
Negotiations between the two leaders will be held in the residence of the German Federal Government, Schloss Meseberg, in the town of Gransee, Brandenburg.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on May 15, Petro Poroshenko said he should be visiting Berlin May 20 where the talks with Angela Merkel were scheduled to be held.
"In Berlin, I plan to discuss the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Donbas and find incentives for the Russian Federation to implement the Minsk agreements," Poroshenko's press secretary on Thursday, May 19, quoted the president as saying.
Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said Poroshenko and Merkel would discuss three main issues: pressure on the Russian Federation to implement Minsk agreements, the European path of Ukraine, and Germany's assistance.
