Poroshenko: Russia's aggression against Ukraine challenge for whole Black Sea region
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko says Russia's annexation of Crimea and its aggression in eastern Ukraine are a challenge for the entire Black Sea region and global security, according to his statement made at a solemn opening ceremony of the Istanbul Park in Odesa, an UNIAN correspondent reports.
"Three years ago, Russia the aggressor undermined all foundations of both global and regional order, launching the illegal and cynical annexation of Crimea and aggression against the peaceful country, Ukraine, in the east," Poroshenko said.
"Such a policy by the Kremlin is a challenge not only to the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of our state, it is also a challenge to global security, to Turkey, and all the countries of the Black Sea region," said the president.
