Victor Yushchenko stressed he will do his best so that amendments to the state budget and the anti-crisis be passed as soon as possible. He said to ambassadors that presently the Prime Minister believes that it is unreasonable to revise the state budget in the first half-year.

“It is an inadequate and dead-end position, which must be revised. I believe I have arguments to persuade the government”, the President emphasized.

He also said he has a feeling that the Ukrainian authorities will soon find understanding concerning all important issues and will resume the collaboration with IMF.
