“I agreed to join the Tymoshenko’s government, to maximally increase the authority of this government and personally the Prime Minister”, Serhiy Tigipko said in an interview with Profile magazine. As it is known, Tigipko’s candidacy is officially considered for the post of Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for Financial Policy.

“What I’m attracted with in the Prime Minister is, without any doubt, her very high capacity for work”, he said, adding: “Yulia Volodymyrivna is not afraid of difficulties. Many said, and they were right, that if she had quitted in September, her ratings would have been very high now. But Yulia Tymoshenko answered – I heard it personally – “If I will go, and there is a political crisis, who will cope with the situation?”. I’m attracted with this position. But, at the same time, I see a weakness – the Prime Minister has a very restricted influence upon forming her team. The majority in parliament puts forward demands to appoint “their’s”, that’s why it is difficult to invite professional to the government”, he said.
