Over 10,000 people killed in Donbas during conflict – UN

Some 10,090 people were killed in the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine, including 2,777 civilians, and at least 23,966 people were injured, according to the Report on the human rights situation in Ukraine (February 16 to 15 May 15, 2017) from UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, released on Thursday, June 13.


"In total, from April 14, 2014 to May 15, 2017, OHCHR recorded 34,056 casualties among civilians, the Ukrainian military and members of armed groups. This includes 10,090 people killed, including 2,777 civilians, and 23,966 injured," the report said.
