Giving commentaries on the Cabinet members’ resignation, representatives from the “Our Ukraine” bloc, the Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych reported that very soon the parliamentary coalition would propose candidates to the posts of ministers according to its proportional representation in the Parliament, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers. The Premier disclosed this during a joint press conference with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana.
According to Viktor Yanukovych, the issue on the present Ministers’ resignation and appointment of new Cabinet members will be decided simultaneously. The Head of Government stressed that quotas of ministerial posts would be given in accordance with mandates of the coalition participants in the Parliament. At the same time the Prime Minister noted that if some of the “Our Ukraine” Ministers wish to stay in the Government the Parliament will consider this issue.
Viktor Yanukovych emphasized that these changes would no have an impact upon the Government’s activity. “I am sure, the Cabinet of Ministers will work steadfastly”, the Prime Minister stressed.
