Poroshenko says briefed thoroughly on Trump-Putin talks
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a joint press conference with U.S. State Secretary Rex Tillerson in Kyiv July 9 said he had been informed in detail about the talks between the U.S. and Russian presidents at the G20 summit in Hamburg on July 7, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"I am grateful for this symbolic and timely visit to Kyiv immediately after the talks in Hamburg at the G20 summit," he said.
"Today we have been thoroughly briefed about what had been said. We coordinated our further actions,” said the Ukrainian president, “at the first meeting of the presidents of the United States and Russia, where the question of the situation in Donbas was discussed, and what to do with the Russian behavior regarding their non-compliance with the Minsk agreements and the non-implementation of clear and direct steps for de-occupation of Ukraine and bringing peace to the Ukrainian land.”
