Government advises to increase electricity and gas tariffs

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recommends the National Commission for Electrical Energy Regulation to increase electrical energy and gas tariffs for population.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, acting Finance Minister of Ukraine Ihor Umanskiy claimed this to journalists after a government session.

“The Cabinet of Ministers recommended NCRE to increase electrical energy tariffs for population that consumes more than 100 kW/h a months, by 3.5 times”, I.Umanskiy said.

I.Umanskiy also disclosed that the Cabinet of Ministers recommended NCRE to increase by 5% the natural gas tariff for families that consume more than  2.5 thousand cubic meters annually, and by 10% - for those consuming more than 6 thousand cubic meters of gas.
