Speaking to journalists after the general meeting of National Academy of Sciences, President Victor Yushchenko made his positive comments on Government`s decision to adopt a set of anti-crisis decrees in response to Verkhovna Rada`s inability to reach consensus on the subject.
According to the President`s press-office, he said that he supports active position of the Government in changing the country for better and would do so further because the Government is responsible for forming economic and social policy in the state.
At the same time Victor Yushchenko informed that he had instructed experts of the Secretariat to analyze legal, economic and political aspects of the approved decrees. He also called upon the Cabinet to realistically evaluate the situation in Ukraine, particularly such indices as GDP growth, inflation and state budget deficit.
