More than a third of those polled Ukrainians believe that President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko would like to see Arseniy Yatseniuk as his successor on the post.

These are the results of a poll carried out by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology in all regions of Ukraine in April of 2009.

According to the information of the Institute, some 33.8% of those polled believe that Victor Yushchenko would like to see as his successor Arseniy Yatseniuk, some 4.2% - Victor Yanukovych, some 3.5% - Yulia Tymoshenko, some 2.4% - Volodymyr Lytvyn, some 19.2% - none of them. Some 30.9% of respondents could not answer the question.

Besides, according to the poll, an overwhelming majority of respondents – some 72.9% - believe that, if the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko and the Party of Regions form a coalition in the nearest future, its priority task must be to overcome the economic crisis. Some 18.2% said the priority task of the coalition is to announce impeachment to the President, some 15.5% - to adopt a new Constitution, and some 4% - to solve language issues.
