Maryna Stavniychuk, representative of the Ukrainian President to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, hopes that, having considered President Yushchenko’s appeal concerning the parliament’s resolution to fix the presidential election for October 25, the CC will produce a clear and understandable method of calculating the date of presidential election.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she said this to journalists on Wednesday within frames of the Constitutional Court’s hearing of the case on the parliament’s resolution concerning the date of the Presidential election.
According to M.Stavniychuk, the Constitutional Court will not fix any concrete date of the election.
“But, as far as I understand, after they finish the consideration of the case, there will be a legal position, which, probably, will outline the methodology of calculating the date of presidential election”, she said.
