Party of Regions unblocked rostrum and presidium

The morning session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine opened on May 14, after the parliament’s rostrum and presidium were unblocked.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, at 10.21 a.m., BYuT faction leader Ivan Kyrylenko, his first deputy Andriy Kozhemyakin, top deputy Speaker Oleksander Lavrynovych and deputy Speaker Mykola Tomenko entered the parliament’s presidium, while several members of the Party of Regions faction, who occupied the government’s box, returned to the session hall.

The morning session of parliament was opened.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Party of Regions faction blocked the parliament’s work on May 12-13, pressing for resignation of Yuri Lutsenko from post of the Interior Minister of Ukraine.
