Deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Tyberiy Durdynets has been put on the international wanted list in line with the resolution of the Prosecutor’s General Office of Ukraine and a respective ruling by Kyiv Pecherskiy District Court. The Ukrainian Interior Ministry`s press service disclosed this to journalists on Tuesday.

The police asked everybody who knows the whereabouts of Durdynets to inform the law enforcement agencies of this.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 19, 2007, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko signed a decree dismissing Valeriy Pidboliachny as deputy head of the SBU and the chief of its main department for combating corruption and organized crime. With another decree, T.Durdynets was appointed to this post. However, the Ukrainian parliament`s committee for organized crime and corruption said that it had not agreed to Pidboliachny`s dismissal. In his turn, acting SBU head Valentyn Nalyvaychenko said that a submission dismissing Pidboliachny and appointing Durdynets had been sent to the President when the parliament had not been formed, and the mentioned committee had not been sitting, and thus there had been no opportunity to receive its consent.
