Mykola Katerynchuk, lawmaker and chairman of People’s Union Our Ukraine party executive committee, claims that he quits PUOU.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he disclosed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.

“Today I announce that I leave the party”, M.Katerynchuk said.

He noted that on the party convention, which was held on 11 November, the minority won, and the party refused from a democratic renovation. “The party, in which the minority wins, has no political future”, M.Katerynchuk stressed.

He also stressed that there are many people in Our Ukraine who share his stance.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on 11 November delegates of the People’s Union Our Ukraine party convention did not support a proposal to elect Mykola Katerynchuk as the party chairman.
