Yanukovych threatens with protest actions and Russia
If authorities do not propose measures to overcome crisis
The Party of Regions may start protest actions if authorities do not propose measures to overcome the crisis.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych claimed this at a session of the opposition government on Thursday.
According to him, if the Cabinet of Ministers does not propose the measures this week, and does not take into account the Party of Regions’ proposals, the party will consider opportunity of holding protest actions.
Victor Yanukovych stressed that the “social and economical crises are looming in the country”. According to him, in the first quarter, the budget did not receive nearly 7 billion hryvnias. “And the eyewash that the state budget is fulfilled – it’s not for experienced people. How long may they deceive ordinary people?” the Party of Regions leader stressed.
The arrears on salary have grown to 1.5 billion hryvnias, and the industrial production fell by nearly 32%, Victor Yanukovych pointed out.
The Party of Regions also stressed that, as of today, Naftohaz Ukrayiny is “almost a bankrupt”. According to him, considering the complicated relations with Russia, one can easily forecast sharpening of the gas supplies issue.
Victor Yanukovych also criticized the government’s intent to increase taxes. According to him, in this case, “Ukraine will be covered with weeds”.
