President determines candidacy for Defense Minister’s post

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has already determined a candidacy for post of the Defense Minister of Ukraine, though he refuses to name it.

He said this in an interview with Ukrayina Moloda daily.

The President noted that he had already determined a new candidacy for the post, but he did not want to disclose the surname because “the previous Minister Yuri Yekhanurov is defending his position in court, and, until this procedure is finished, I cannot name another candidacy due to ethical considerations”.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on June 5, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dismissed Yuri Yekhanurov as Defense Minister of Ukraine.
