The second anniversary of the Orange Revolution will be celebrated at Maydan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv by 8 parties and organizations. The Party of Regions refused to take part in the meeting.
UNIAN was told about this at the Main Department for interior policy of the Kyiv City State Administration.
Our Ukraine Bloc (NU) denied the idea of holding a meeting and a concert when celebrating the anniversary of the Orange Revolution, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.
Chair of the NU Information Department Tetyana Mokridi says that the party has considered opinions of its ‘orange allies’ who stood at Maidan in 2004.
“NU decided to change the format of the Liberty Day commemoration having refused noisy concerts and loud celebrations,” Mokridi underlines.
NU top officials are going to crowd into the masses having greatly valued Maidan and viewed freedom as the utmost achievement of the Orange Revolution.
