Volker, Turchynov discuss Donbas reintegration law
U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov have discussed the new legislation on special aspects of state policy to ensure Ukraine's state sovereignty in the temporarily occupied areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions (the so-called Donbas reintegration bill).
"Met with Secretary of the NSDC Oleksandr Turchynov to discuss reintegration bill and the need to protect the rights and well-being of Ukrainian citizens living in the Donbas + the need for peaceful resolution of the conflict," Volker wrote on Twitter on January 24.
The meeting was also attended by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

The document recognizes the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine by Russia.
