U.S. Special Envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker says he will not hold negotiations with Russia about Ukraine without coordination with Ukraine.
"The U.S. will not negotiate about Ukraine without Ukraine. I stay closely coordinated with my Ukrainian counterparts," he tweeted on January 24.

He also said he was in touch with colleagues from France and Germany.
Volker is scheduled to meet with Surkov on January 26 to discuss the situation in eastern Ukraine, prospects for deploying a UN peacekeeping mission to Donbas and its possible format.
