Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy has opened the eighth session of the parliament of the eighth convocation.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of the government led by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, heads of central executive bodies, representatives of the judiciary, as well as heads of foreign diplomatic missions, an UNIAN correspondent reports.

After Parubiy opened the session, the State Anthem of Ukraine was played.

According to the schedule, the current session will last until July 20.

The agenda includes instructing the Rada Committee on legal policy and justice to prepare for urgent consideration a number of bills related to the High Anti-Corruption Court.

In addition, the MPs will discuss a number of issues related to the country's economic policy, including the bill on limited and additional liability companies, as well as the issues of amending certain laws on the establishment and maintenance of the Credit Register of the National Bank of Ukraine and improving credit risk management processes in banks.
