President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko et with Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych, according to the President`s press-office. 

      The President later told reporters they had spoken about the premier’s recent visit to the USA.

      “Viktor Yanukovych informed me of his visit to the United States of America. We exchanged our thoughts in the context of Ukraine-U.S. relations, and our normal, good conversation focused on issues that were stated in the directives,” he said.

      Mr. Yushchenko also said they had discussed Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to Ukraine.

      “We spoke about preparations for the Russian President’s visit to Ukraine and the two documents to determinine a strategy for our partnership and formulate a 2007-2008 bilateral action plan,” he said.

      The President added they had also spoken about the premier’s foreign visits in the next three months.
