Tymoshenko opens local employment centre in Kharkiv

In the process of her working trip to Kharkiv region the Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has taken part in opening of Kharkiv municipal employment center, according to Office of mass media relations of Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The Head of Government stressed this establishment was open owing to the efforts of the Government and Ministry of Labour and Social Protection in employment sphere.
The Minister of Labour and Social Policy Liudmyla Denysova disclosed that building of the employment centre in Kharkiv had started back in 2004 and only owing to support of the incumbent Government it was open.
Liudmyla Denysova also noted that thanks to measures of the Government in the employment sphere a number of unemployed over 8 months of 2009 had reduced by 290 thousand persons. “The present number of unemployed is 590 thousand persons which is equal to the showing of 2007,” she explained.
