Ex-Speaker pulled out microphone from journalist and threw out it from staircase (video)

The incident between lawmaker from the Communist Party Oleksandr Tkachenko and film crew of STB television channel took place in the parliament.

According to the words of the correspondent from Ukrainska Pravda, journalist of the channel Olga Chervakova tried to record an interview with the lawmaker, who recently expressed an opinion concerning diminishing of number of journalists in the Verkhovna Rada.

He explained his position that “there are a lot of journalists in cafeteria”.

When Olga Chervakova tried to ask details he expressed a wish that “journalists to cover activity not only of cafeteria of the Verkhovna Rada, but what takes place in the village and in society”.

When the journalist asked one more question, O. Tkachenko tried to run away from the camera having stricken the microphone by the hand.

When Olga Chervakova came up with the politician, he pulled out the microphone from the journalist and threw out it from staircase. The microphone became broke down.

The film crew of STB sent for the police, the representatives of the police have to make a record evidence concerning infringement of the law of the lawmaker.

At the same time head of the committee of the Verkhovna Rada on freedom of speech Ganna German said that the committee will consider this incident at the nearest session.
