The Law of Ukraine “On introducing amendments into some legislative acts of Ukraine on election of President of Ukraine” with the signature of Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn is officially publicized at the web site of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and will be publicized in “Golos Ukrainy” and other print media.
The Information department of the machinery of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reports this.
It is noted in the report that the Verkhovna Rada adopted the relevant report on July 24, 2009. At the same time the President of Ukraine returned this law to the Verkhovna Rada with the corresponding propositions on August 18, 2009.
On August 21, 2009, the Verkhovna Rada, having considered the propositions of the President of Ukraine, adopted this law repeatedly, having overcome the veto of the President. 325 lawmakers of Ukraine voted for this decision. On August 25, 2009, the Law was sent to signature of the President of Ukraine.
