By joint decree of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and Finance Ministry of Ukraine the changes have been introduced into the passport of the budget program for 2009, which provides forming, purchase and modernization of armament and defense technology on the state defense order.
The press office department of the Defense Ministry disclosed to UNIAN that the act was issued because of adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of the decision on allocating the finance from the Stabilization Fund for financing the work on modernization of helicopters Mi-8 and Mi-24, and also purchase the equipments of cumulant protection for tanks BM “Bulat” and creation of the perspective ship like “corvette”.
In accordance with the introduced amendments, in 2009, for creation, purchase and modernization of defense technology on the state defense order of the Defense Ministry it is provided to allocate UAH 250 million.
