Foreign Minister of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will pay a working visit to Washington on December 9-10.
The press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN that during the visit the Foreign Minister is about to meet with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and National Security Adviser to the President, General James Jones. The inaugural session of Ukrainian –American commission of the strategic partnership has to take place within the frameworks of the visit. The session will be dedicated to discussion of wide range of issues concerning international life and bilateral relations.
P. Poroshenko will also deliver a speech at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, he will meet with congressmen, representatives of the Ukrainian community of USA and he will also meet with members of the Ukrainian-American Business Council.
The aim of the visit is strengthening and deepening of cooperation between two states at the basis of Strategic Partnership Charter, representatives of Foreign Ministry noted.
