Herman reminded about Shevchenko’s modesty

The Administration of President of Ukraine notes that UAH 130 thousand for Shevchenko National Prize is absolutely adequate amid the crisis.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, deputy head of the Administration of President Hanna Herman said to journalists that Shevchenko Committee asked to increase the amount up to UAH 200 thousand.

She noted that the amount assigned equals to Shevchenko fund’s reserves.

At the same time she promised that the award will be increased if economic situation in the country improves.
