The Committee of Electors of Ukraine states that the Party of Regions is the leader by work with its electors in the regions.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, CVU chief Ihor Popov claimed this to a press conference in UNIAN today.
In particular, according to his words, “out of the five parliamentary factions, the Party of Regions is an absolute leader by the work with its electors”.
I.Popov disclosed that the Committee has already received several complaints from Party of Regions lawmakers that they are pressed to report if they do not work in the regions, and that they are threatened with disciplinary punishments.
I.Popov noted that the Party created a special department, which, under the guise of electors, arrives to regions to meet with lawmakers, and if a lawmaker fails to meet with his electors, the department reports to the faction leadership, which punishes the lawmaker.
The CVU chief noted that the Block of Yulia Tymoshenko tried to organize something like that, but was not successful.
The Committee also regrets that it has not received any systematic information about the work of other factions with their electors.
