Yushchenko ready to head Our Ukraine

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko is ready to directly head “People’s Union Our Ukraine” party, if this is the will of the party’s convention.

      He disclosed this in an interview to UNIAN.

      Victor Yushchenko stressed he highly assesses the level of democracy inside PUOU.

      The President is interested in democratic means of electing party chiefs of all levels. “Only a party session may make a choice”, the President noted.

      The Head of State added that President’s Chief of Staff Victor Baloha, Our Ukraine faction leader Viacheslav Kyrylenko, ex-Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko, deserve to occupy the post of the party leader.
