Prosecutor’s General Office closed criminal case on Kravchenko’s suicide

On 31 January, 2007, the Prosecutor’s General Office of Ukraine closed the criminal case, brought on the fact of the suicide of ex-Interior Minister Yuri Kravchenko.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prosecutor General Oleksander Medvedko claimed this to a press conference in Kyiv today.

According to him, all the expertises and investigative actions were carried out on the case, allowing to come to a conclusion that the crime is absent in this case, as a result of which it was closed.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Yuri Kravchenko was found dead with firearm wounds on 4 March 2005. On that day he was summoned to PGO to testify on the Gongadze case.
