Government recommends President to sack six governors

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recommends President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to sack governors of Kyiv, Rivne, Odessa, Kirovohrad, Poltava Oblasts and Sevastopol.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recommends President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to sack Serhiy Ivanov from the post of the Sevastopol City State Administration chief, Vassyl Chervoniy – from the post of the Riven Oblast State Administration chief, and Yevhen Zhovtiak – from the post of the Kyiv Oblast State Administration chiefs, “due to the deterioration of social-economic conditions of these regions”.

Besides, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine recommends President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko to sack Vassyl Tsushko from the post of the Odessa Oblast governor, Eduard Zeynalov – from the post of the Kirovohrad Oblast governor, and Stepan Bulba – from the post of the Poltava Oblast governor, due to their election to the Verkhovna Rada.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, journalists were told about this by Prime Minister’s spokesman Valentyn Mondriyevskiy, on the results of the government session today.

He disclosed that the government adopted the respective decree.
