Today the government’s session decided to create the Ministry for Regional Development and Building of Ukraine, and the Ministry for Housing and Communal Services.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Top Deputy Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this to a press conference today.

According to him, during discussing the unfounded rise in utility tariffs, there were “absurd ideas” to charge any commission with solving the tariffs policy. He is convinced that such an agency could not efficiently regulate this sphere, as every region has its own specifics.

A general methodology of forming tariffs, comprehensible to the population, will be worked out shortly, the top DPM noted.

Asked whether one of these Ministries may be headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Building, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Volodymyr Rybak, M.Azarov said: “I do not know where he will remain. I think he has a big desire to remain a mere Deputy Prime Minister, it seems to me so. But we will ask him about this.”
