One more animal died in Kyiv zoo

Kyiv zoo reports that unknown people poisoned bison named Via on May 30, Obkom referring to the press service of the zoo reports.

“Unfortunately, the symptoms, which the bison had during the last minutes of life, give the grounds to suppose that death of one more animal is not accidental”, it is said in the report.

26-year-old animal died instantly and the vets could not rescue the animal. Due to this reason the Kyiv zoo reinforced guarding of open-air cages; the vets of the zoo have twenty-four-hour work regime.

The death of the bison is under investigation. Kyiv zoo expects to receive preliminary data on May 31.
