Expert: Putin arrived “to make certain that partner is under control”

The visit of head of the Russian government Vladimir Putin to Crimea on July 24, where President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych is staying, was a kind of “inspection”.

International legal scholar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Great Britain in 1998-2002 Volodymyr Vasylenko said this at the news conference today.

“It is seems to be an inspection tour of V. Putin”, said V. Vasylenko. According to his words, the main aim of the visit of V. Putin to Crimea was “to make certain that the partner is under control”.
