Armed Forces not to be involved in internal conflicts

Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Hrytsenko claims that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will not be involved in any internal conflicts.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this to journalists in Ivano-Frankivsk today.

“The political elite, to which the nation, by means of elections, gave a right to rule the state, must solve political issues with avoiding clashes. If the political elite is able to do so, than, I believe, it corresponds to demands of the time and the people’s expectations”, A.Hrytsenko said.

“As for the Armed Forces, they are prepared to defend people from external threats”, the Minister noted.
