Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Hrytsenko does not see any grounds for his dismissal.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he claimed this to journalists today after a meeting of President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko with law-enforcement bodies chiefs.

Commenting on lawmakers’ statement about the necessity of his dismissal, A.Hrytsenko expressed a belief that “for serious people, who may assess not only declarations, but also practical actions and results, there are no grounds to raise this question”.

The Minister also believes that he is a “forecasted” person for the political circles as well as for the society.

A.Hrytsenko added that the issue of his dismissal was not discussed at the today’s meeting with the President.

As UNIAN reported earlier, today, on 10 April, VR Speaker Oleksander Moroz called on the Cabinet of Ministers to submit to the parliament a proposal concerning a dismissal of A.Hrytsenko from the Defense Minister’s post.
