Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov hopes that the State budget for 2011 will be adopted by the Parliament on December 23, according to the Department of Information and Communication of the Secretariat of the CMU. He announced that at a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the local government professional day.

"We expect that no later than December 23, we will accept the budget so that you can have in early January, somewhere before January 15, your budgets already adopted. Extremely important is that together with you we entered the new year organized, - the Head of the Government underlined. He said if the budget was developed on the old tax base - it would be a burden on the way of structural reforms, which Ukraine have long been waiting for. After adoption of the Tax Code today, the Ministry of Finance will begin to process the draft budget under the new tax base to submit it in a week to the Parliament.

Moreover, Mykola Azarov informed that in future the Government intends to move to medium-term budget planning. "We must move soon to medium-term budget planning. We will have three-year budgets so that together we could see the beginning and end, especially in capital construction objects, which are built two or three years, so we could built them clearly, and not to be interrupted"- he concluded.
