Yanukovych starts official visit to Japan

President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych started four-day official visit to Japan.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, today at 3.40 am (Kyiv time) (at 10.40 am local time) an aircraft with the Ukrainian delegation on a board made a landing in Tokyo International Airport (Haneda).

In accordance with demands of international diplomatic protocol, military men of subdivision of guard of honour met the head of the Ukrainian state in the airport.

The Ukrainian delegation consists of Foreign Minister of Ukraine Konstyantyn Hryshchenko, Culture Minister Mykhaylo Kulynyak and deputy head of the Administration of President Andriy Honcharuk.

Representatives of the Ukrainian business circles who will take part in the Ukrainian-Japanese business-forum also accompany the President of Ukraine.

Today, during the first day of visit, V. Yanukovych will meet with leaders of Keidanren Japan Business Federation, chairmen of the chambers of the parliament and also with Prime Minister of Japan Naoto Kan.
