President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych expresses a wish that “Ukrainian cherry tree and Japanese sakura blossom together in garden of mankind”.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, he said this during his speech at the meeting with faculty and students of Kyoto University that took place within the framework of the visit of V. Yanukovych to Japan.

V. Yanukovych noted that sakura is a symbol of Japan. “A Ukrainian cherry tree has always been a poetic symbol of Ukraine. I want that Ukrainian cherry tree and Japanese sakura blossom together in garden of mankind filling each other with beauty”, said the President at the end of his speech.
