Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko said that she will definitely send an appeal to the Prosecutor General with a request about the possibility of leaving Ukraine right after receiving a written invitation to attend the summit of the European People`s Party to be held in Brussels in March this year, according to the Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"To this summit, I think we will obtain a written invitation very soon, and, of course, I`ll make an effort to go there," Yulia Tymoshenko said today before her next visit to the Prosecutor General`s Office.

According to her, vice-chairman of the Batkivshchyna Party Hryhoriy Nemyria passed along an oral invitation from the President of the EPP Wilfried Martens after his meetings in Brussels with representatives of the party. "They gave me an oral invitation to the summit of the European People`s Party, which will be attended by all leaders of European countries, which are part of the European Union, they all belong to the ruling European People`s Party," she said.

On February 7, 2008 the EPP unanimously approved the decision to include the All-Ukrainian Union Batkivshchyna party, which is headed by Yulia Tymoshenko, as an observing member.

"This is a very important step for the European People`s Party, because we believe that Yulia Tymoshenko and her party profess European values, which will bring Ukraine closer to the European Union," said then EPP Secretary of External Relations Kostas Sasmatzoglou.
