Mika Newton to represent Ukraine at Eurovision

The final of the national selection of participants from Ukraine for Eurovision song contest finished. Savik Shuster announced a name of the winner on the air of the First National Television Channel.

There were 19 participants in the final. The winner was determined by SMS votes (45% of the vote), Internet voting (10%), and the jury votes (45%). In sum, the greatest number of points received Mika Newton. Zlata Ognevich took the second place and Jamala took the third place.

The winner sang song “Angels”, with which she will represent Ukraine at Eurovision in Düsseldorf in May 2011.
