ICANN assigned national domain .UKR to Ukraine

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) made decision on assigning of national domain .UKR to Ukraine.

The press service of the State Agency on Science, Innovations and Information Issues of Ukraine disclosed to UNIAN.

“Receiving of the national domain by Ukraine is a world-wide event in Internet community”, said chairman of the State Agency on Science, Innovations and Information Issues of Ukraine Volodymyr Seminozhenko.

According to his words, this decision is an important step on a way of building of information society in Ukraine.
