Yushchenko fired Piskun from Prosecutor-General post – Pliushch

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko fired Sviatoslav Piskun from the Prosecutor-General post, according to an UNIAN correspondent.

National Security and Defense Council Secretary Ivan Pliushch said it at a Prosecutor General`s Office board today.

Particularly, according to him, the President cancelled his decree on appointing Piskun Prosecutor General.

Also Pliushch noted that Crimea Prosecutor Victor Shemchuk is to be acting.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on April 26, the President of Ukraine reinstated S.Piskun on the Prosecutor General post, according to Shevchenkivskyi Court ruling from April 26, 2007.
