Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has requested permission from the Prosecutor General’s Office to travel to Lithuania and Belgium to attend international summits, according to Official website of Yulia Tymoshenko.

"We’re waiting for a decision from the Prosecutor General’s Office about the trip to Brussels and the trip to Lithuania for the democracy forum," Yulia Tymoshenko told reporters today after her latest visit to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Yulia Tymoshenko was officially invited by U.S. Senator John McCain and European People’s Party President Wilfried Martens to attend the European People’s Party Summit in Brussels on March 24. "We jointly call on the Ukrainian authorities to allow Yulia Tymoshenko to attend the EPP Summit in Brussels on March 24, 2011. Mrs. Tymoshenko’s party, Batkivshchyna, is an observer member of the EPP and she is, therefore, invited to participate in the Summit," says the joint statement issued earlier this month.
