Melnichenko demands confrontation with Kuchma

Former major of the State Guard Service of Ukraine Mykola Melnichenko demands a confrontation with former President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma in further investigation of the case concerning the murder of journalist Georgiy Gongadze.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, M. Melnichenko said this to journalists near the Main Investigatory Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine where he was summoned for interrogation concerning case of G. Gongadze.

“I demand a confrontation”, said M. Melnichenko, having explained that it is necessary for removal of all contradictions in this case.

At the same time he noted that it is a PGO who should make this decision.
