Verkhovna Rada did not approve of President’s decree on dismissing Piskun from post of Prosecutor General

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a decree, refusing to give its content to dismiss Svyatoslav Piskun from the post of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, 257 lawmakers out of 260, present in chamber, voted for this.

Besides, the lawmakers noted in their decree that appointing Victor Shemchuk as acting Prosecutor General of Ukraine was contrary to the Constitution.
